About Our Team
Health Check Physical Therapy wishes to introduce you to a few very special members of our team. Like all team members, these individuals possess critical skills that play an important role in your treatment. Frequently considered of near equal importance is the fact that all team members do everything possible to maintain a positive, friendly and cheerful environment. In fact, the nature of that environment has proven itself quite infectious. Consequently, patient testimonials frequently include comments on the nature of the environment at Health Check Physical Therapy. After all, a positive, friendly and cheerful environment affects patients and team members alike.
Now, let’s meet a few members of our team.
Chris, Partner, DPT

As both a Partner and Clinical Director at Health Check Physical Therapy, Chris Cush, DPT, leverages his extensive background in sports orthopedics to provide expert care. After earning his BS and Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Temple University, Dr. Chris Cush has strived to further his professional development. He managed the rehab team at one of the most highly acclaimed multidisciplinary outpatient orthopedic facilities in Philadelphia, Zarett Rehab & Fitness, before joining the Health Check team after a move to the suburbs. He has worked with top level athletes from professional to high school level.
Chris has completed training in the use of the Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) and is recognized as a Champion Performance Specialist (CPS). Together these certifications allow him to provide thorough and effective diagnosis of his patients’ injuries and movement deficiencies. Chris takes a manual therapy-based approach to rehabilitation. He has been certified in Graston Technique and has taken several Maitland Australian Physiotherapy courses, which focus on joint mobilization and movement. Dr. Cush is a firm believer in evidence-based practice, which keeps him current with the latest treatment options in physical therapy. As a specialist, he is certified in concussion rehabilitation through the American Institute of Balance and is skilled in functional dry needling.
Chris is dedicated to personal health and community involvement. He is an avid golfer and completed the Gettysburg marathon in 2018. He sits on the board of the Lee Wagenhoffer Memorial Fund, which focuses its efforts on supporting local underserved youth. He has several affiliations in the local community at Legion Transformation in Exton and Bryn Mawr Running Company in West Chester. He provides monthly informational lectures to these businesses to help with injury prevention and overall health education. When he is not working, he enjoys exploring the surrounding community and spending time with his son Bode, daughter Quinn, and wife Ashley.
Lindsey, DPT

Lindsey Cornish, PT, DPT, earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Arcadia University in 2025 after completing her B.S. in Exercise Science at West Chester University. She completed a clinical rotation at Health Check in 2024, where she developed strong interest in the practice’s evidence-based, patient-centered care and manual therapy approach. Lindsey gained PT exposure to neurologic and orthopedic settings during her clinical rotations while completing her doctorate.
A former professional ballerina with Glorify Performing Arts and certified fitness trainer at Edge Fitness, Lindsey integrates her background in movement and performance into her therapeutic approach. In addition to serving the community as a PT, Lindsey enjoys pursuing personal fitness through dancing, weight lifting, running and rock climbing, as well as spending time with family and friends.
She is committed to helping patients reduce pain, build strength, achieve lasting improvements in function, and encourage lifestyle changes that drive high quality of life.
Sam, Physical Therapy Aide

Samuel Green is a Physical Therapy Aide at Health Check Physical Therapy. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from West Chester University. Sam began his journey with Health Check during his junior year in the fall of 2023 and joined the team full-time in June 2025. He is a Certified Personal Trainer who is passionate about helping others build confidence in their strength and movement while supporting patients in reaching their fitness and recovery goals. Outside the clinic, Sam enjoys playing tennis, rock climbing, snowboarding, trying new foods, and cheering for the Eagles.
James, Physical Therapy Aide

James Higgins serves as a Physical Therapy Aide at Health Check Physical Therapy. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from West Chester University and has two years of experience supporting patients across diverse backgrounds and conditions. James is passionate about providing personalized, patient-centered care to help individuals achieve their recovery goals. Outside of work, he enjoys playing basketball, golfing, and watching football on Sundays. James is dedicated to helping patients regain function, build confidence, and return to pain-free living.
